FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a partner to book a lesson?
No partner is necessary! Many of our students are solo travelers or locals looking to learn a new skill. You will receive one-on-one instruction tailored specifically to your pace and goals.
I have "two left feet." Are these classes for beginners?
Absolutely. Our private lessons are designed specifically for beginners. We focus on building your confidence and teaching you the basic rhythm and steps so you can feel comfortable on any dance floor.
What should I wear to my salsa lesson?
Comfort is key! Wear clothes you can move freely in. For shoes, we recommend something with a smooth sole (avoid heavy rubber "grip" soles or flip-flops) that allows you to turn easily.
Where do the lessons take place?
We host lessons in the Palos Prietos neighborhood of Mazatlan, on the Malecon overlooking the ocean. Once you book, you will receive a confirmation with the exact location and directions. (We can also discuss coming to your hotel or rental, if that's what you prefer).
How long are the private lessons and what will I learn?
We offer two tailored options to fit your goals:
• 60-Minute Lesson: We focus deeply on one dance style of your choice, perfect for mastering specific techniques or a single rhythm.
• 90-Minute "Dance Ready" Session: This is our most popular choice for beginners. We cover the essential basics of all three dances, giving you the skills and confidence to hit the dance floor the very same night.
Can we book a lesson for a special event?
Yes! We offer a variety of ways to make your event memorable. Beyond our standard sessions, we can provide:
• Special Event Performances: Vibrant dance performances to entertain your guests.
• Custom Experiences: Tailored dance "mini-sessions" for parties or wedding guests.
• Wedding First Dances: Personalized coaching to help couples shine on their big day.
• Group & Private Lessons: Whether you want an intimate 1-on-1 session or a high-energy group class for your organization or family, we have you covered. Reach out to us to dicuss.
